STRATEGIC INNOVATION

Radical Customer-Centricity in the Age of Blockchain and AI

New digitally-centric business models are ushering in unprecedented opportunities for fresh sources of value for both companies and the customers they serve.

M-One Studio partners with our clients on their transformation journey to help them rethink their way forward, leverage technology to address bottom line challenges and top line growth simultaneously, and focus on a new world way of doing business.

Radical Customer-Centricity and Blockchain Experience Layer

SPOTLIGHT

An outside-in, customer-centric view is critical to the modern digital enterprise’s fight for relevance and for creating the appropriate operating model to seamlessly deliver it. By approaching product and service development from the perspective of their customer’s experience, we can help our clients understand how true business value is created today when value is mutually shared.

Through Engagement Economics, we’re helping clients identify, prioritize, and act upon the moments of highest mutual value along their customer’s journey.

The following paper details alignment across business and experience for a blockchain agnostic framework ChainVerse including strategy development for sustainable competitive enterprise advantage.

Introduction

M-One Studio partnered with ChainVerse, the next generation blockchain agnostic framework to facilitate blockchain mass adoption by providing a multi-sided network effect through radical customer-centricity based on frictionless consistency within its AI supported Experience Layer.

Bootstrapping Blockchain Experience Layer

Blockchain space has formed its base layer. With some differences in base
features most blockchains provide decentralization and security benefit but lack
support for the middleware needed to build experience layer and drive mass
adoption. The emergence of the second layer frameworks is necessary to
bootstrap the experience layer formation. The following paper describes such
framework’s architecture based on the ChainVerse, an Ethereum side-chain
Metadapp platform.

Blockchain Agnosticism: A strategy to mitigate systemic risks

Blockchain is set to disrupt the way we live and do business by replacing the
Internet of Information with the internet of Value that will enable fast trustless
peer to peer exchange of digital asset including data, intellectual property or
reputation points.

Until recently transactions like this required a third-party intermediary like a bank or social network but blockchain technology cuts out these middlemen by
allowing us to carry out transactions directly. It is an evolutionary step towards
better efficiency, reduced costs and improved security. Mass adoption of
blockchain technology will result in global immersion of IoV and to get there we
need to increase scalability, usability and interoperability while mitigating
systemic risks and surpassing development bottlenecks.

The amount of blockchains has multiplied at an unprecedented rate including
public, private and confederated networks, each offering a unique set of
features, speed, scalability, interoperability and possible risks related to privacy, autonomy and environmental effects. Not every blockchain is designed equal some are optimized for security others for speed or processing power; some are even tailored for specific dapps and use cases.

Smart constructs are widely accepted as instruments of trust in a trustless
ecosystem of blockchains. Smart contracts are executed by code when
specific conditions are met leaving no room for interpretation. However the
templates are sparse, programming language specific and finally network
specific leaving an endless array of choices with varying risk reward ratio when it comes to real business implementation.

Network conditions are susceptible to risk as well. Games like Cryptokitties
increase in popularity brought Ethereum network to almost complete stall and
caused the fees to spike exponentially. Bitcoin network fee spikes is another
example of the same phenomena and can be triggered by large amount of funds
being transferred such as a cold wallet transfer after Bithumb hack as illustrated
by the following chart from blockchain.info.

Events like these can cause solutions built on one blockchain to have
unpredictable delays, downgraded performance, transactional cost increases
and even network failures. These are significant barriers that may take time to
code through (5 years according to V. Buterin for Ethereum) and will likely affect
each blockchain in a unique way based on its current technological state and
development infrastructure. That is why we need to adopt an evolutionary risk
aversion approach and use agnosticism as a strategy to increase mass
adoption.

Blockchain evolutionary risk needs to be taken into account as well, as
prompted by the history of the Internet when early market leaders (Geo-CIties,
AltaVista) were outperformed by the next generation of companies (Facebook,
Google).

We need to diversify to mitigate these risks and maintain future forward
feasibility by adopting agnostic approach to blockchain development. As many
blockchains will rise and fall it will be up to agnostic blockchain platforms to
support decentralized applications and processes across the blockchain space.

In short to mid term we do not expect one blockchain to dominate the market
and attract all developers. In fact quite the opposite is true as many networks
are well funded and will attempt to develop and evolve their infrastructure. None
of them however are entirely future proof. New generation of DApps: MetaDApps
will coordinate executions of smart contracts across multiple blockchains.
ChainVerse is blockchain agnostic platform designed to host MetaDApps.

CHALLENGE

BLOCKCHAIN SPECIFIC DAPPS WITH INCONSISTENT UX AND HIGH INTERACTION COST

SOLUTION

BLOCKCHAIN AGNOSTIC DAPPS ON CHAINVERSE WITH LOW INTERACTION COST AND FRICTIONLESS EXPERIENCE

RESULTS

In sum, ChainVerse blockchain agnostic framework integrates with multiple blockchain API’s and uses side-chains and server caching architecture to avoid network congestions and bottlenecks. With more developers realizing that blockchain agnostic solutions are more stable and get businesses to market faster ChainVerse receives growing support within enterprise and development community, providing businesses with a fast and easy way to address their use cases without getting trapped in systemic risk scenarios. Yet another example of how new ideas and technology are rewarding those organizations willing to rethink how they work, how they’re structured, and how they actually help in the day to day, with becoming the beloved brands in people’s lives.
